Heroes are everywhere. On an annual basis, the Marana Foundation recognizes Heroes who have gone above and beyond in their support of children. Whether teachers, bus drivers, volunteers, administrators, community members, clerical staff, or custodians, it is the individual who makes the difference and creates excellence. At this time, we will recognize individuals at their sites, allowing everyone within our school communities to share in thanking our Heroes for their hard work and dedication.
Do you know a special person who does an outstanding job making our schools a wonderful place? Nominate that Marana district staff person or volunteer to be honored during this years Heroes Recognition in November.
The Heroes Banquet is an annual event which consists of an evening of recognizing excellence in education celebrated with dinner, dancing and socializing. This event provides the opportunity for the Marana Foundation to recognize administrators, teachers, support staff, volunteers and community members from across the District, who go above-and-beyond in their service to the staff and students within the Marana District. Honorees are identified through a nomination from a co-worker, parent, principal, student or community member and then selected by Foundation committee members. From the bus driver who rarely receives acknowledgment to the teacher who may not hear “thank you” nearly enough, Heroes” are recognized, honored and rewarded for their outstanding efforts for children.
